Open through October 28, this is a full-fledged farmer’s market with plenty to enjoy. You’ll find locally-grown produce (and lots of samples, too), but there’s much more on offer. More than 25 vendors selling everything from meat to flowers come together every Saturday between 7 AM and 12 PM to offer their products. The baked goods are not to be missed. Grab some coffee on a Saturday morning and shop locally grown products.
#4: The Baked Apple Pancake Company
1224 Ogden Avenue, Downer’s Grove
It’s time for something filling but unique. Visit The Baked Apple Pancake Company for a meal you’ll remember. Voted one of the best in the city, this is the place to come for tempting treats such as breakfasts like the banana waffle, fig breakfast sandwich, and the cream of asparagus soup. The kids will love the crepes and strawberry shortcake French toast (and you will, too).
